Dear Sir,
I am a Portuguese native speaker with eight years of specific experience in translations of legal documents from English/French to Portuguese. As you don't mention the amount of words to be translated, I just made a bid based on 2 working days.
My translation rates are between 0,055 USD (0,050 Euros) and 0,095 USD (0,080 euros) per word (from source text), depending from the kind of text to be translated and the deadlines, all subject to negotiation.
Between 2010 and 2015 I worked as a translator, linguist reviewer and proofreader for a Macau (China) Government Office, “Office for International Law Affairs”. This office was in charge of translating and reviewing translations of all documents, decisions, deliberations and new regulations coming from international organizations, like the United Nations, the World Health Organization or the Universal Postal Union, to be published in Portuguese and Chinese in the local official gazette.
I also worked for seven years as Head of Information Department and Deputy-Director of Macau Government Press Office (China), where I was in charge of all contacts with foreign journalists.
I am a journalist, since 1981, and had several editorial positions in Portuguese national newspapers so I can say I have a command of Portuguese language well above the average and a lot of experience of working under the pressure of very strict deadlines.
Best Regards
Paulo Reis
