Translating messages from English to German -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. We have a software program that has all the messages in English. These messages are saved in multiple files attached herewith. 2. These messages need to be translated to German language. 3. These message files are in form of "properties" files used by Java programs. (If you know how this works else you are just follow instructions given below). 4. In these files, each line has one message. Each message is given an ID. 5. If there are any special characters (single quote, double quote, comma, PIPE, full stop, > , < , # in the message then they should be kept as is. Also, word enclosed within $_____$ are special keywords which should not get translated. 6. XML tags like <br>, <h2> , <a> etc should not get translated. ## Deliverables Translating messages from English to German -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. In these files, each line has one message. Each message is given an ID. e.g. Example 1 : # ex. password is invalid. errors.invalid={0} is invalid. a. In this example, first line is a comment. Any line starting with character '#' is a comment. It should be ignored. It should not be translated. b. '[login to view URL]' is a the ID of the message. Whatever comes on the left hand side of the first '=' sign is the ID. c. '{0} is invalid.' is the message that needs to be translated. In this {0} is a parameter that will be filled in later. This could be some name or some other keyword. You may check the comment above this line to understand what will the final statement look like. d. The above lines should get translated as # ex. password is invalid. errors.invalid={0} ist ung?ltig. Example 2 : -800099=Could not find the domain configuration for ''{0}''.|Could not send the email a. Here the ID is '-800099' b. Message has got 2 parts seperated by a PIPE ('|'). Each part should be separately translated. c. The translated line may look like this - -800099=Konnte nicht gefunden werden die Domain-Konfiguration f?r ''{0}''.|Konnte nicht senden die E-Mail 5. If there are any special characters (single quote, double quote, comma, PIPE, full stop, > , < , # in the message then they should be kept as is. Also, word enclosed within $_____$ are special keywords which should not get translated. 6. XML tags like <br>, <h2> , <a> etc should not get translated. e.g. CONTENT=<br/><h2>User Created Successfully (<a href="#">$DOMAIN_NAME$</a>)</h2> may get translated as - CONTENT=<br/><h2>Benutzer erfolgreich erstellt (<a href="#">$DOMAIN_NAME$</a>)</h2>
