Hi Guys, I need a windows networking / Active Directory expert for about 30 minutes to help me refine a design plan for extending/securing an existing Active Directory environment. This is a very small network that consists of 5 physical servers, but dozens of Hyper-V machines. Currently none of the AD infrastructure is physical - all of it is inside Virtual Machines and is spread over 3 Hyper-V Hosts for redundancy. The problem is the domain was not well thought out when it was designed, and may need to be completely replaced... tho if possible it would be better to simply make modifications necessary to secure it. I need to talk with an expert about it to come up with a plan of action for modifying it to fit our needs. This project is simply to have a 30 minute discussion with a windows networking / Active Directory expert about the existing network and how to properly design or redesign it to meet our needs. This will be a very high level discussion. If there is more work (such as implementing whatever is decided based on this discussion), that will be handled in a different project here on Freelancer.

Hi, I have few questions about your Environment. How many user accounts/service account you have in AD. How many applications are configured to use those accounts? Which servers are low on performance and need some serious attention? You have hyperV in your setup so it must not be more than 2-3 yr old setup. Not sure what you meant by domain not well thought out, If AD is overloaded, surely few roles can be spread out. About me, i have 9yrs of server infra experience, i work on multiple Microsoft technologies, i am new to freelancer.com, but a regular worker at upwork.
