I need to modify and add phone systems so I am looking for experienced freelancers to help me out. We currently have 2 - SonicWall NSA 4600 devices acting as a primary and backup as well as an SonicWall SMA 400 as our VPN appliance. We currently have a single dedicated internet circuit and want to add a secondary dedicated internet circuit as a backup to the primary. We will also be adding a backup SIP provider as well and this will need to be configured on our Adtrans Netvanta 5660 SBC. I had a 1Gb network which I upgraded recently to 40Gbps. I have DELL servers with ESXi7 installed. My issues. When I run iperf between two virtual machines, I get a bandwitch ranging from 6Gbits/sec to 10Gbits/sec. When I copy files with scp I getting a transfer speed of about 110-120MB/s which is very far from the theorical bandwitch of 1GB/s x 4 ~ 4G/s for a 40G network. Recently I discovered that encryption reduce transfer speed so, I setup FTP server. Transfer speed doubled with FTP. I got a transfer rate about 240-280 MB/s. I recently upgraded my network from 1Gbp to 10Gbps. With the 1Gbp network, I had a transfer speed on LAN of about 100-120MB/s. I still get the same throughput after switching to the 10Gbps network, which was supposed to have ten times more throughput (about 1GB/s). I have Cisco ASA 5520 Firewall and in that few VLANs are created. That is connected to Cisco 4948 where many devices are connected to the L3 Catalyst Switch under different VLANs. The engineer has configured VLAN previously and it was working... Now they seem to be screwed up and I am not able to ping or browse the other VLAN which I have been given permissions. This is simply few mins job for a techy person in networking... The switch I used is OVSK and the links are TC link with bw=0.01MBps, delay=1s, loss=50-90%, queue size=5-100packets, and use_htp=True. Also, change the used queue and Qos by "ovs-vsctl -- set Port s1-eth1 qos=@newqos .....". But when returning to the monitored flow I found that collision and Tx/Rx drop/error were always zero and did not change.
