Build a Windows Application/File Launching Toolbar Similar to RocketDock

Hi, This project is to modify an existing Windows toolbar application called, “Astounding Dock,” to enable it to display small icons/tabs for launching programs, Windows commands, or opening folders. The company’s website is at the link below: [login to view URL] The main problem I am having with RocketDock is that it floats over open windows and programs, and it frequently gets in the way of the application/window it is hovering over. The toolbar is also too wide (vertically) and takes up more screen space than it should. Many years ago I used a program called QuicKeys (now obsolete) which offered a toolbar that was much better. This toolbar was thinner, and (most importantly) it was configured so that maximized programs and windows re-size themselves to fit under the toolbar (rather than the toolbar floating over them). I have found an open-source toolbar application named, “Astounding Dock,” that has the main characteristics that I need for a toolbar (docks to the top of the screen, and automatically re-sizes programs and windows to fit below it). The problem I have with the Astounding Dock toolbar as it currently is configured, is that this toolbar program is designed to display only drop-down menus of program links. It is designed for displaying 50+ program links, so the links are organized into drop-down menus. The work that I need done in this project is to modify the Astounding Dock application so that it can be used to also display individual icons which the user can click on to launch programs, open folders, etc. The icons would need to have the same basic functionality that they have in RocketDock: a “Target” setting for defining the folder or .exe file to be triggered, the ability to customize the icon using a bitmap or icon file, and the ability for the user to arrange the order (from left to right) of the icons. This is the same functionality that RocketDock and most other toolbar applications have, but this functionality is missing in the Astounding Dock application. I have attached a screenshot of both the RocketDock and Astounding Dock application toolbars for reference. My RocketDock toolbar is fully configured with a large set of icons for launching programs, opening folders, and launching Windows system commands. The Astounding Dock toolbar, in comparison, is just a gray-colored bar at this time because it does not currently allow for adding individual icons, but it has all of the other functionality that I require for a toolbar, so it should work well as the basis for a custom toolbar.
