I am considering paying for development of a new website to compete with existing players in the market. My website will be very similar to competing sites however the pricing structure will differ significantly. Note: My website will be competing in the adult entertainment space/sector. if this is in any way offensive to you, please do NOT consider this freelancer project. I am time-poor and not an IT person by trade, so I need assistance with the due diligence on the following subjects: Existing competition analysis: a) Where do the existing competitors in the market host their servers? Are they dedicated servers? b) How many competitors are there in total at the moment in this part of the adult entertainment space where I want to compete? c) How much bandwidth are the existing competitors using roughly per day, and what is the ongoing cost of this approximately? d) How do the existing competitors in the market bill clients credit cards and the pricing structure/merchant fees? e) How do the existing competitors remunerate their models? My proposed website due diligence: e) What would it cost me (approx) to develop my website to compete in the space, and where is the best place to host it? Best billing merchant to use? f) What is the approximate turn-around time for my website with a developer and a recommendation on developer sourcing? g) Do any web-design companies offer "off-the-shelf" templates for customization for the type of website I want to develop and compete with? h) What would it cost me to advertise my website on other websites (to be disclosed) via banner ads? i) What would it cost me to advertise my website with Google Adwords? (keywords to be supplied). j) What sort of ongoing costs of running my website will I be likely to face? Any major costs I have overlooked? k) How can I be sure that my identity is safeguarded and that no external party (competitors) could learn my country of origin or details.
