The ideal time to travel to Vietnam is from November to April as it starts raining heavily and is quite cold, especially in the northern parts. Except for Marble Mountains, you can visit Hanoi which will be dry. Hanoi's sword lake and Temple of Jade is quite beautiful. Central Vietnam is amazing for kids especially the Golden Bridge, Ba Na Hill and Bach Ma National Park (amusement park like Disneyland) near Hue. South Vietnam is warmer and Ho Chi Ming city is quite busy, and you can cruise along Ha Long Bay and the limestone islands.
