Translation and Narration in Mandarin of an Aviation Helicopter Training Course

This job requires text translation and narration by a male voice-over/narrator. I have been told by Chinese aviation management and operators that pilots in china will prefer and expect a male narrator or aviation instructor. This is not intended to offend anyone but this is a product that has to sell online and to the civilian, government and military industry and be attractive to the potential client who are predominantly male aviators. The narrator also has to have a friendly and insightful delivery. I have listened to a few Chinese narration samples and they sound like an impersonal, aggressive TV used car salesman or hard driving pitch man. 
This job requires someone who is a native Mandarin speaker with a good level of English and can grasp and translate complex concepts related to this training. The good thing is that the course exists in English and you can take the course to learn and understand the content. The course has recently been translated into other languages so I have a good idea what translating per word costs should be. A more accurate word count will have to be made but at this point it is approximately 30000 words. The translations break down as follows- • PowerPoint slide titles and bullet pints translated. An English copy of the PowerPoint will be provided. • Narration scripts translated and narrated. • Course module quizzes translated. • 5 to 6 technical documents and checklists. • Ability to translate the text and provide clear and accurate narration an asset The budget set out below is to fill the space in this document. I am willing to pay a fare price for competent work.

I have experience with translation and narration projects in the past. You should have a team member who will proof read the material before returning final product. I have a person who is a native Mandarin speaker who will proofread the text on my end and work with me on the filtering of a capable translator. I have found that most of the translators these days use translating software and check the document for obvious errors. I have people who will, and have read through the translations and fixed errors that have carried over from this translating software method. We can tell if you use a translating software product. I have no problem with the translator using this method but the documents have to be properly proofread and represent the information to be conveyed. This is not a request for special quality results. If you offer to do the job and we accept and pay for your services we expect complete, competent, thorough results. This translated material will be marketed online to the entire Mandarin-speaking world and we will get feedback from the clients if the translations are not professional. We know that languages vary throughout regions but the translations have to be fundamentally professional and reflect positively on my company and the aviation industry. I have many more large documents to be translated so this is not a one shot deal. I am hopping to build a team for translating in Mandarin and many other languages. I have had this course translated into other languages and know the pricing and quality available.
