Hiring for L1, L2, L3 Desktop support engineer Service Desk Analyst IT Support Engineer IT Technical Support Engineer position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Desktop Support professional to join our team. As Desktop Support, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end users for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues. Your primary goal will be to ensure smooth and efficient operation of desktop systems to enhance user productivity. Responsibilities: [login to view URL] first-level technical support to end users via various channels, including in-person, phone, and email. [login to view URL] hardware and software problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. [login to view URL], configure, and troubleshoot desktop operating systems, applications, and software patches. [login to view URL] in user account setup, password resets, and access management. [login to view URL] with the IT team to identify and resolve network connectivity issues. [login to view URL] basic network troubleshooting, such as verifying network connectivity and addressing connectivity problems. [login to view URL] timely and accurate documentation of support incidents, including issue details and resolution steps, in the ticketing system. [login to view URL] complex issues to appropriate teams or higher-level support technicians for further investigation and resolution. [login to view URL] user training and guidance on the effective use of desktop systems, applications, and tools. [login to view URL] established procedures for software and hardware procurement, inventory management, and asset tracking. [login to view URL] 1 deskside software support for in-scope software as documented in SMTD 12. OEM vendor co-ordination 13. Warranty and non-warranty break/fix hardware repair (including printer support) 14. Limited Smart Hands support where resolutions cannot be made remotely 15. Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes and Disposal (“IMACD”) activity 16. Customer Hardware Loaner Pool at onsite staffed location and Basic IP (internet protocol) phones troubleshooting at onsite staffed locations 17. Telephony (deskbound) • LAN Patching • Support Video Conferencing / webcast • Printer Support and coordination with vendor for printer hardware support • Server related support at remote sites. This is not server break-fix or IMACs. Example activities include and Physically power cycling a firewall, router, switch, or server 10. Re-seating a network, drive, or other cable [login to view URL] a network activity light, firewall status light on bezel, or looking for an error displayed on a console screen and Receiving a CD, DVD, or Tape and placing it in a customer specified server or device 19. Replacing a patch cable in a rack [login to view URL] knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows and macOS. [login to view URL] in troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices. [login to view URL] with network fundamentals, TCP/IP protocols, and basic network troubleshooting.
