Currently work on MarkLogic, XQuery daily as my main job. Can advise you on what indexes to add to improve search speed and make query more efficient. Depending on type of query can use cts: near (if on adjacent attributes) or can use path range indexes which can be combined in CTS search. All depends on the actual query. Anyways any questions please feel free to ask but should be relatively simple. Example xml data would help develop the query more efficiently.
