I am a user of the Mycroft ([login to view URL]) artificial intelligence environment, on a laptop running Fedora 38 ([login to view URL]) Linux. I have added the Desktop Control skill ([login to view URL]) to Control the mouse and keyboard by voice. Some examples include: • "type Mycroft is awesome" • "press the enter key" • "move mouse to 400 and 100" • "scroll up a bit" • "scroll down a bit" • "scroll down some" • "scroll down a lot" • "hold space key" • "release space key" • "screen resolution" • "select all" • "select all and copy" I have installed the Diction skill ([login to view URL]) for writing indication with LibreOffice ([login to view URL]), even though that is not the intent for which it was designed. Some examples include: • "start dictation" • "once upon a time" • "auto complete" • "end dictation" I myself am a physically disabled individual, afflicted with Cerebral Palsy. I am wheelchair-bound. I choose to use Linux for my job. I am a Network Engineer. The tools and freedom Linux provides makes my job easier. However Linux does not have good voice control and dictation options. I use Mycroft and the skills listed above to adapt but it is not smooth. Ii also use a similar configuration to help people I meet with complications similar to mine that do not have the resources or funds to use out-of-the-box solutions for adaptive equipment. While my resources are limited as well, I am looking for a Python developer to ideally create a skill with a more complete implementation (such as punctuation) of the features listed above. If not a new skill, update a fork of the existing skills, as they are outdated and not all functions work properly.
