setup nginx to work with laravel

Laravel 5 site. I created a new server on digital ocean, checked out my code, but there still are some flaws and the site is not working as expected. 1. not all the resources are found. 2. form submissions does not get added to the DB. In both - I suspect it's a bad configuration of the nginx / php5-fpm. I need an expert in setting up this. ASAP. This is a one time project, but if your good - there will be more.
