We are looking for a tool to facilitate the inventory. We have a fleet of various cars. Let's say if I am in front of one of the cars and I need to know something about one particular car, I want to scan a QR Code on the side of the car (car decals) and it will then pull up a website (database) that displays everything about that car (last driver, name, time it was returned), manufacturer, when it was parked when it was last serviced, what was done to this car during the last service, when it is beyond its oil change date. From the admin user dashboard from the website i want to have a page where I could have a form that allows me to update the data. I can enter todays date as the new last serviced date and put a description of what it was done to the car. The next time the code is scanned, this data would be available. This job requires to use a database installed on a Linux [login to view URL] selected needs to know how to connect a QR Code to a database to retrieve car's properties. The freelancer will write a PHP script that selects all the data from a car table in a MySQL database where the car number is from the QR Code: SELECT * FROM cars WHERE number = $_GET[carchosen]. _GET[carchosen] is the PHP call to pull the data from the URL that was sent via the QR Code. So we just need a QR Code that has the URL to the script and sends the car number: [login to view URL] This URL will select car 3. We want to have 500 cars in this database.
