Three projects, each similar: Project 1) Help me get a GNU PABX application installed and running on a Ubuntu Server machine. a) Dedicated HP desktop type machine, quite low specs, will upgrade if req'd. Internet access. Have installed both Ubuntu Server and Desktop on it, but need help to get into the guts. b) Have a new 4-port Voicetronix OpenLine card in the machine ([login to view URL]) and need help to get their Asterisk PABX software installed and running. Project 2) Help me setup a development environment on Linux to do a benchtesting setup for an engine development project i am doing. Need to control an analog input card, an analog output card, and a digital I/O card installed in another HP desktop machine. I have earned my living programming PC's for most of 30 yrs. Developed several communications device drivers in 386 assembler, fairly comfortable in C/C++ etc. but lately last 20 yrs only business software in eg. Powerbuilder / SQL and Windows. Done a couple of yrs in HPUX, fairly comfortable as a user in BASH shell but a bit rusty. Know the hardware. I've played with RedHat 10 yrs ago some but never had any projects i needed to do with it. Now i have 2 projects on tight deadlines and need help. I need someone who I can email questions to and get good answers. Questions like "How at shell do i mount the DVD and use it to read/write?". or "How do I set up a machine to dual-boot Ubuntu Server or Desktop?" or "When the Asterisk PABX install document says __, what do they mean?". Willing to pay fairly on eg. a per-hour basis for reliable good service.
