We do run **Oracle 11g Release 2** database and have deployed the **Oracle HTTP server (OHS) 10g R2** to serve applications accessing the **11g production database.
**
Since Oracle HTTP server is not anymore delivered with Oracle 11g, we would like to migrate our installation to the embedded Oracle HTTP server known as **XML DB**.
Currently we use the Oracle HTTP server (OHS) for:
a) calling stored plsql procedures via mod_plsql
b) running java servlets via oc4j
c) some static web pages
To our knowledge migration should be straight forward since XML DB is based on the same or very similar infrastructure as Oracle HTTP server (OHS). XML DB seems to support stored procedure calls and servlets via the database. Appart from the functions a - c above, we currently do not use other newer functions of XML DB.
You qualify for this job if you have done this before or can demonstrate the needed skills for this task.
The task includes:
a) proposing them migration method and plan
b) estimation of effort and system down time.
c) specification of migration requirements
d) executing the migration in a specific single time slot with the needed configurations
e) demonstrating with our assistance that the current applications work as before
f) being available for some troubleshooting later on, if needed at all.
