The project is to write the javascript / php script to create drop-down and fly-out menus which will respond to, and contain, the variable output of the database which runs in the background of a database-driven web site by creating the appropriate number of menu items.
You will have complete access to a duplicate working copy of the relevant tables in the database and relevant existing php scripts so that your scripts will fit in seamlessly with the existing code and code structure.
I am sure that the script(s) required, or ones very like them, will be stock items in many coders' library.
[The following has been added in response to coders' requests for more detail.]
Over the last two years, I have written a set of templates which form a Content Management System allowing the owners / operators of the small charities and voluntary support groups I help the ability to add / edit / delete departments in the database which drives the site. At present, the result behaves like so -
[[login to view URL]][1]
(click on the "Services" link in the left-hand column).
I wish it to behave like the lower set of links in the left-hand column of -
<[login to view URL]>
The desire is that as the charity adds / edits / deletes departments (as they may well have to do with the number and type of services they offer, and the number and type of events they run), such increases / decreases in the number of departments should appear in fly-out menus.
Yooooors,
Iain.
