Build us a form to form posting solution . Create a form ("New Form") (see attached) that posts to the existing carsales form (CS Form), pre-validating using JS, and inserting dummy values on mandatory fields. The old form would think we are a real user and we can still capture the data in the current carsales back end system. New Form would match the attached, except we'd say "Full name" as a single field. A Regex in the New Form javascript could split the name into the two names required by the CS Form. Possible Solutions * Mechanize is a RubyOnRails plugin that allows you to write scripts that pretend they're human. * CURL and Snoopy are alternatives in PHP. * Beautiful Soup is the alternative in Python.
