phpBB changes

I have a phpBB, version 2.0.3. (I will not be upgrading for quite awhile.) For this project, I require that you are familiar with the open-source phpBB (its code, its layout, etc.) and that you know php well. I need three changes to my phpBB: I have hacked it so that under the users' avatars in their posts, the open user groups (which I call modalities on this board) that they are subscribed to show up as icons and the closed user group, if they are subscribed, shows up as a word. 1) I want the basically the same thing to show up in the user profiles. 2) I want the users to be able to subscribe themselves to the open modalities. (I do not want to have to approve them.) I want them to be able to subscribe themselves via their profile when they first sign up AND via the standard modalities (group) link at the top. When I try to change the settings on my forums in the admin control panel, it won't let me, and says, "General Error - Could not update auth table". I must have messed this up with a previous hack. 3) I need it fixed so I can alter the forums. If you are interested, you may post a comment or a bid, and I will post you back the URL to my board and a temp username/pw so you can see what it looks like. For the coder I choose, I will send you all my phpBB's files, so you won't be starting from scratch. (I will also give you my MySQL DB info as you need it.)
