A simple working database. Comparison. Cells(split by |):abcd|efghijklm|nopqrst|uv|wxyz String:xxyx There are 5 cells in the above example How the comparison works. comparison of the first cell. (to be repeated for any addition cells) - the cell CAN be longer than the string. abcd x abcd yx abcd xyx abcd xxyx abcd _xxy .... (please ignore any _ characters, they are just to make the spacing right) This is to occur for each and every cell which is contained within the database. a percentage is to be produced at some point, and the highest percentage cell match must be returned. (the percentage isnt needed, only for comparison) For example: The output might be: wxyz Since when compared, xxyx, makes a 50% match against the cell wxyz. At the end of the function, a seperate subroutine must be called. All it needs to do is add STRING to an additional cell (if percentage match <> 100%) which can be compared when the function is next called. BEWARNED: EACH CHARACTOR WHICH IS REPERSENTED, isn't a single byte, it's 3. I want every 3 bytes compared. You'll know what I mean. Extra; not really a description. If you wish to complete this task in C, I will ask for adments before accepting you. These are only to deal with winsock protocols. So tell me if you wish to write this in C in your bid, otherwise I shall expect VB to be used. 3) All work, before payment must reach that which I have written in the description. That's the task, thats what's expected of you. 4) Output logs (THIS IS A MUST!) of the working program before I shall hand any payment over. For example: Input->xxyz Output->wxyz This may be constructed by you; giving answers which THE PROGRAM returned. Your input, with the given output.
