286971 Very simple db cleanup script

Hi there, thanks for looking at our project! This is a VERY quick one. I need a simple PHP script that will query a tab-delineated text flatfile database, and if it finds the specified string in the specified column of a record, will delete that string. (IMPORTANT -- it should delete that string, NOT the record itself). So, for example, if the string is ... ** lexus acura f-150 edge bmw expedition honda toyota mercedes vw * ... and the script is supposed to search column 6 of the database, then on any record in which that complete string above is found, that string should be deleted. To clarify: We are not intending to search for any of the above words individually ... only the entire multi-word text string, if the entire multi-word text string is found. The script should have a "settings" line or two at the top where the required matching string (and the column in which it should be found) can be specified. The script should be a basic PHP script that is suitable to be run as a cron job. The match must always be in a specific database column. If the script does not find any matching records, it should end with no modification of the database. By the way, the example above (that text string, in that column) is what we specifically need for the setup at the moment. Thanks for looking at our project!
