I currently have a MOSS 2007 SP1 project that has been deployed to IIS but we do not have the Visual Studio project solution so we effectively no longer have the up to date source code
I currently have all of the dll files that were deployed to the /bin folder and they have been decompiled and are now available as source code, along with the complete web directory and sql server back up for the site
What I need are the following:
Take the sql server, IIS site webroot back up and decompiled source code and reconstruct this in Visual Studio as a project so it can be built without error and deployed
Remove coremetrics legacy code from any code and presentation layers
Upgrade all code from ASP.NET 2.0 to ASP.NET 3.5
Resolve current security issues from recent web application security test (Sharepoint Vulnerable To Reflective Cross-site Scripting, Web Application Vulnerable To Reflective Cross-site Scripting, Malicious Content Contribution and Web Application Allows Redirection To External URLs)
Create documentation within the code files to explain functionality and allow documentation to be produced from Visual Studio
Create a second Visual Studio project and check that the site is MOSS 2007 SP2 compliant and test the presentation layer to make sure there are no errors
So, the current code is coming from decompiled application? And it never been rebuilt after decompiling? Did you use Reflector tools? What reflector tools version did you use? Let me know.
