ART DIRECTOR JOB -- 2

WE ARE URGENTLY LOOKING FOR AN 3D ARTIST LIVING AND WORKING IN THE US, CANADA, or UK. – Virtual Media Group is searching for an experienced Art Director or Production Artist, who has experience concepting, designing, and controlling a variety of projects. We currently have a variety of projects on our plate (3D horse modeling, 3D environment/lighting, 3D modeling/building, 3D Crowd Modeling, 2D UI/UX work) and desperately need someone to take over while our team in Ukraine focuses on their safety. The initial part of this project will be to oversee the current pipeline of work (horse modeling, racetrack environment creation, racetrack creation, and 3D crowd modeling). Deep experience working in Maya and Unity to create photorealistic environments. Specifically, we need you to direct and lead our team of outsourced artists on their individual projects in order to create top of the line 3D virtual racetracks, improved 2D UI/UX for our application, and any additional promotional material/artwork. This is the first of many projects we currently have in our pipeline (Full time for a year if interested). Requirements - At least 3 years of professional Art Director experience, ideally 5+ - Impressive-looking directly related portfolio – photorealistic creatures, environments, buildings - Versatile in design that goes beyond the obvious, contributing unique solutions to each assignment - Capable of building final digital files for prepress department in accordance with established guidelines and procedures to ensure highest quality and most efficient processing of final art, be it for print and/or digital displays. - Works within established timeframes and budgets in accordance with client expectations and TPN quality standards - Acts as a team player who partners effectively with the creative, account and planning departments - Sells their work internally and communicate why it works - Understands strategy and insights and how they inform and influence ideas. Able to interpret the creative assignment brief into design solutions - Understands key tenants of interactive design, including human-centered design, UX and - Understands the differences in multi-platform design including POS, web-based design, mobile, rich media, interactive kiosk and more - Understands purposes of different digital platforms and how users / consumers use them - Advanced knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator - Knowledge of a 3D animation program (such as Cinema 4D or Maya), After Effects, and basic knowledge of interactive media design Desirable - The ability to conceptualize abstract concepts into impressive on-screen visuals. - The ability to create and adapt to various game art styles. - Experience working with advanced rendering plugins Personal Qualities - Team player with a positive attitude, intelligent and self-motivated - Productivity and ability to work in a team Skills Required - Strong knowledge and appreciation for graphic design, typography, and layout. - Organizational skills - Ability to organize and format information - Sound business and professional ethics
