I have a small company with a main campus and one small remote site. My network is divided into several VLANS, which need to all be able to be properly routed between each other (except for the guest VLAN). Both sites are connected to the public internet via an Edgerouter X router, and the remote site is connected to the main campus via an IPSEC VPN tunnel. I have all the VLANS and the tunnel working as desired with the following exceptions:
Remote office network services (internet) should go through the tunnel, not the local router. All internet services should be through the main campus except for a local domain controller server.
With the exception of the guest VLAN, all VLANs should be routable to all other VLANs. Right now, I can ping clients on the same VLAN across the VPN, but not other VLANS on the opposite side. Strangely, I can ping all VLANS on the same side.
It would be lovely if the internet services on the remote site would fail-over to the local internet connection if the VPN goes down.
I'm need someone to fix the routing and possibly the failover if it won't take too much time and money. Please do not tell me that I should just have one subnet for each office...I have them divided in a manner that will accommodate future growth and remote office expansion and want them separated but routable.
