Hi, we are having trouble on our dedicated server, seems like it has been compromised and is joining in a ddos attack. WE are looking for a security expert to remove this infection, prevent it from happening again by enforcing more firewall/security. Our server is linux, running cpanel. Il find problem in 10 minutes and kill it from server, than we will find how it bypass into system and patch that think, also i give GRATIS firewall configuration to help you to prevent sucha think. But you must understand Plesk or cPanel every often time got some 0day in wild because system is very complex with lots of soft included, and it is not hard to find bug in one of 200 services hes running ;) As i say, award project, i don't want much money, i want to prove my self. Hi, We have been running a local hosting company for 7 years we know cpanel and WHM inside out. Ok I can help with the DOS attack you see low security can allow alot of IP addresses to connect to a server and this is how they are able to enforce a dos attack. I will add the security needed, enforce the firewall more. Install a SSL certificate for one year. I will then need the SSH and WHM, SSH ill be able to pin point all the ip addresses and stop the DOS attack. WHM I can install SSL and enfore the firewall more. Let me know if I can explain anything else, here is some blurb.... To combat a denial of service attack, you could check into (D)DoS Deflate if it's a high number of connections from select IPs (normally you'd want to see at least 50+ connections from several of the IPs in the prior command to consider using (D)DoS Deflate, since you don't want to block lower level legitimate connections):
