Add support of Header Bidding industry standard, to an existing Real-Time AD auction system developed in Tokyo. This expansion includes i) adding bidder adaptor of [login to view URL][1], and ii) adding 1st-price auction support (currently, it supports only 2nd-price auction). The auction system is based on OpenRTB 2.3/2.5[2]. The codebase and technical documentation are English based but contain some Japanese. Reading some Japanese is required but we can support on this (e.g. we can translate some document to English). The deliverables are a) Design level specification on GitHub issue(s) which have passed reviews from team member(s), b) Pull-requests on GitHub which have passed reviews from team member(s), c) Test reports which have passed reviews from team member(s), and d) Writings of deploy and rollback procedure of a modification. As one of the open minded, polite, and multi-stack engineers, you will 1) investigate design and implementation of the existing system, 2) explore and evaluate design choices, 3) organize a modification into a design level specification, 4) implement, test, and guide deployment of a modification, and 5) participate in code review of related modification of other member(s)' work. 6) notify beforehand if you are not responsive more than 3 business days in Japanese calendar[3]. Technical Environment: - Scala 2.11, sbt 1.2.8, Akka 2.4, spray 1.3.3 (migration to Akka HTTP & Akka 2.5 is in progress) - Kamon and Datadog for monitoring. - AWS, Elastic Beanstalk, Docker, CloudFormation for infra. (BlueGreen deployment) - DynamoDB, Kinesis/KPL, RDS/MySQL for persistence. - Specs2, CodeBuild, Jenkins for test and CI - Gatling for stress test but currently not maintained. - TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift for rendering banner, video, in-feed ADs. - AngularJS 1.x for external and internal administration web apps. - Apache Spark, Jenkins, AWS Glue for batch processing. - AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions for miscellaneous automation.
