Build tool to automate image processing via Excel VBA and Leadtools

We currently process images using a Excel VBA macro which performs a few auto fixes/enhancements of images through Photoshop and builds a PDF in Acrobat based upon data in an Excel sheet. The process works, but is slow and is prone to problems when Adobe updates their products. We believe Leadtools might be a better alternative and would like to replace the Adobe portion of the process with Leadtools. If my assumptions are correct, it should be a relatively straightforward change for someone versed in Leadtools.
