Campfire Starter “Flint Fire Starter”: Design a Small Handheld Inexpensive Rugged “Tough” Flint Fire Starter that can be operated with one hand only, it must be able to work properly and repetitively without ever failing or breaking. It must create more than enough sparks to start a fire every time it is used without fail. Meaning it must be able to get a fire started each time it is use on its first try. It must be small and compact to fit into your pocket. It MUST NOT be battery powered. It must be manually operated by hand. A Flint Fire Starter is a camping tool you use to start a campfire with. It makes a bunch of sparks. It must be easy and fast to use. Just Google the phrase “Flint Fire Starter”. It must be the best looking, best function, best design, and easiest to use on the market. Please tell me your thoughts about the design to help me choose the best bidder. I will build and test the Prototype. It must not rust.

Hello, As a fellow camper/backpacker and inventor/problem solver i am very intrigued by your project. After reading your attached proposal i have a few issues with it which is why my price is higher then the others. I have been in manufacturing for a long time doing projects for myself and for others. Very seldom does a design for a new innovative product work flawlessly on the first try, hence your "warranty" I could see this small project taking up a lot of time to get perfected. It would also be very hard at this stage of the process to set a manufacturing price or to source materials. I already have a few ideas in my head as to how I would accomplish this task for you. I can in-vision it being hand held with a thumb actuated mechanism to achieve the spark. I also build and manufacture a lot of different items and I would be able to help you with the construction of the item. As i do have a lot of reservations with doing this type of project on such a fixed budget with a short timeline I still am very interested. I hope to work with you in the near future, Mike
