I already have a datalogger that I have made based on ATmega328P, The temperature sensor used is LM75. The PCB also hosts a pressure sensor to measure pressure and a microSD card slot to log the data on. Also an LCD displays the current temperature and pressure. This was actually designed for a high altitude balloon flight.
