I am a builder. I have a project for a home. This is the first time that I am trying to do something new. I already have AutoCAD drawings from my architect. Usually, I just have my trades people coming in, building the exterior, then after they are done, I just have my finishers measure the inside, and I order the materials.
This time, what I want to do, is try to order the materials from a different supplier, globally, which takes a much longer lead time, and will require some international co-ordination for me, and some preliminary research, but for that I will need the exact measurements ahead of time so I can get all my estimates, and tinker a bit with the design.
The job is a fun one I guess. All the layers are finished you just need to put it into 3D and do the exterior and interior design. However, we will need the FULL design. complete with all sizes for the interior so I can get estimates. all interior appliances (based on models), cabinetry, wall-paneling, counter tops, vanities, you name it. this may be fun, but it is for the very experienced and detail oriented interior designer. When I say detailed, I mean, detailed to the point of not just how many 24", 30" or 36" cabinets I will need. I want to see the amount of pot lights and 3-way light switches. There's no point for me to just get simple drawings. If I do something new like this, I want it to be fun. I want to be able to walk into this house, I want to see everything, the fireplaces, the glass wine bar, the sauna, steam, Himalayan salt room, and even my gym finished with the model of the workout station that I will put inside. I want to envision it this way/ I want to be able to count the pot lights and light switches. When I am going to order cabinetry, I know that I will have precisely measured (for example) : 85 pieces of cabinetry, 51 pieces of glass, to the Square feet - hardwood flooring, wall-paneling, wooden trims, tile, countertops, exact dimension of stairs and so forth.
Again; based on these exact, specific drawings I will be putting through my estimates and orders. Yes I know, I am going to have a few cm off here and there, but I am getting fillers. These drawings need to be detailed to the point I barely have any waist.
The home is just under 5k square feet basement, 1st and 2nd.
If you want to do something like this, and you can put together a bunch of design ideals based on pictures provided, and also give me a few fresh design ideas and make this fun for me I would appreciate it.
Oh yes, forgot to mention:
Exterior is easy, there's just going to be aluminum paneling over most of the house with a few different colors; its a modern house, however we are going to have 2 variations for the exterior: let me explain.
A) The current variant (no backyard)
B) A variant with a covered porch added, nice backyard and the basement main stairs turned towards the back yard, with the exterior stairs coming upwards directly parallel from the double doors. (but this will be done later on, and my architect hadn't finished that revision yet).
So we are also going to do a creative modern exterior covered porch. I will also provide some photos for ideas.
If you want to work on this, let me know, and if I will check your profile and like what I see, based on some of the work you've done before, I will send you maybe the main floor and see how you are able to do it, and if you can do well, I will send you the rest of the floors.
This is a job to the most imaginative, modernly designed, detail focused, open-concept, exterior designer.
And preferably, I want to be able to walk through my house in 3D, if you can send me a variant in Chief's Home Designer as well, that would be appreciated. I am not an architect, and I don't have AutoCAD, but I would still like to view all versions myself, I use Chief's.
I consider this a small project, probably at the mid range. The architecture is basically done. This is mostly interior design, but very detailed.
