Interactive PDF forms can easily have a "submit" button placed upon them, and then the button can be configured to attempt either and "email" submission, or and "HTTP" submission. The problem with the former is it depends upon the random user out there having a correctly configured local email client. That's becoming less and less likely as time marches on. The problem with the later is that you have to have a server side script running on your web server that's ready to interact with the form submission and then do something with the data received.
I wondering if anybody here has done this (or something really close), so that it wouldn't be a big deal to provide the scripts needed and perhaps provide a little guidance with their installation. I am not a coder, nor am I an expert web server admin. However, I do run this simple website that hosted on my own server (currently a Microsoft Server 2003 installation running IIS 6. I think that means that a script using ASP would be natively supported and would not require the addition of another scripting platform. That's not to say that I wouldn't be open to installing something like PHP, but perhaps that effort can be avoided?
Here's what I want to happen: The code in the PDF form associated with the submit button will be trying to submit the entire form (not just the entries). When that stream of information has been received at the server, I would want the received PDF file to be subsequently emailed to me at an address that I guess would just be coded into the script. That address could be changed if needed just by revising the script, but that's not likely to be a concern. Beyond that, the received data can be dumped. There is no need to keep copies on the server once the email containing the file has been sent.
This is a very low volume operation; I'd expect less than 10 of these submissions per week. It would be easy for me to open the attached PDF files I receive and read enough of the answers so I would know to whom the message should be subsequently forwarded to. There is currently no need or desire to build/maintain a database containing the form answers.

Yes, ASP Script is able to do this and your Server is good enough to run it.
Do I need to design the PDF form also or you already have it?
Could I see your form?
