**Assignment 3: Data Compression** _**Overview** _**In Part 1** you will implement a locally adaptive data compression algorithm, for compressing a sequence of bytes. This algorithm makes use of optimal prefix-free codes (Huffman codes) for a certain set of weights. **In Part 2** you will write a utility for archiving a directory (and all of its subdirectories recursively) into a single file. Of course your program will also be able to reverse this process and rebuild the directory from the archive.
