I have about 50 rental houses. The software I used to manage them for many years was called tenant pro 5.0. Tenant pro evolved from 5.0 to 6.0 to 7.0 and then went out of business. The upgrades required newer operating systems (from windows 98se). The old system did pretty much what I needed and I had no desire to spend money for a system that worked fine for me. That was the correct deision for the next 5 years but it is no longer practical. This existing application was written in ~1999 to manage the customer database, job tracking, invoicing, accounts receivable and a few reports for a small print company. It's currently running on a NT4.0Sp6 Server with 3 Windows 98SE clients. The original source has been lost, but the binaries exist. I believe it was written in Borland Interbase with a Sybase SQL database. I have been able to access the database using WISQL and ISQL, and the data will need to be ported to the new application. I will provide a VHD which you can run in Virtualbox of the entire NT 4.0 server, including the client application. The job is to rewrite this application to be able to run on a modern OS.
