Hi, I’m looking to get a quote for some VR CGI to add into a 360 video that I have recorded in a musician’s living room. Firstly I want the ceiling to be masked out to reveal a time-lapse of the sky (I have a time-lapse 360 video of this) and have done a rough job on this myself but possibly like to make it more realistic in some way. I would then like the sky to darken and for a star scape (and/or Milky Way) to appear (). I have tried this myself but the result is a very flat image that looks like it’s on the ceiling rather than anything that has a great distance to it. I am interested in buying an off-the-shelf blueprint for a residential house, but after talking to the Gilpin County Building Dept., I found out that they require a design that is rated for 130 mph 3-second wind gust, Exposure C, and a 75 PSI snow load on the roof, as well as R-49 ceiling insulation and R-38 slab/crawl space insulation. I am assuming this will require additional structural elements tying walls to foundation and roof to walls. Is this something you can help with, and if so, at what approximate cost? Thanks.

We are looking to raise an existing ceiling height. We currently have rafters (which I think are 2x6 rafters @ 12" o/c) with 2x6 cross-bracing/Ceiling Joists (at around 24"o/c). Every over rafter (alternating with the 2x6 cross-bracing) has a 1x6 cross-bracing higher up. Height from floor to ridge is around 13ft. From bearing wall to bearing wall - span is around 23ft. (See attached images for clarity) We need to know - how high can we raise the cross-bracing/ceiling joists? What is the connection from ceiling joists to rafters? We can provide new cross-bracing/ceiling joists 2x6's (or 2x8's) every rafter, if needed. - Any extra height we can get will help. I need structural detail and a calculation. Thank you!
