Tableau Data Storytelling Project

I'm in need of a skilled data storyteller who can use Tableau to present insights derived from our data. This assessment relates to the following unit learning outcomes: (1) Develop an understanding of a problem and identify the related data which tells a story about the situation; (2) Develop a narrative to communicate data-driven conclusions effectively; (3) Identify appropriate visualisations to communicate this narrative; (4) Produce high quality data visualisations using software packages (such as Tableau); (5) Demonstrate effective communication skills appropriate to a variety of audiences and through a range of mediums (e.g. dashboards, powerpoint, infographics); Assignment Description: Create a Presentation utilising Tableau Story functionality and the concepts learnt in the unit about data storytelling (following Dyke's Storytelling Arc) and best visualisations practices. You work in the analytics team for a global wire production company that has been performing well in the past few years. The CEO want to assess if there are improvements to be made in the company's focus for key products and how they approach distribution. By comparing the main products, customers and transport options and looking for any trends that the company can replicate, develop and propose an action based strategy for the CEO. If the strategy is successful what would be the estimated potential financial gain? (Note: The potential financial benefit can be calculated outside Tableau). Using the Story functionality in Tableau create a presentation to the CEO to address his question above. You can have as many story points as you feel is applicable as long as you are following Dykes' Storytelling Arc. You can have as many story points you need, but your presentation cannot be longer than 12 minutes. Ideal Freelancer: - Proficient in Tableau: You must have a good grasp of Tableau, and preferably possess certification or significant experience working with the tool. - Data Storytelling Skills: You should know how to extract key insights from raw data and present them in a way that's engaging and easy to understand. - Experience: Previous experience in creating Tableau visualizations or similar data storytelling projects would be highly beneficial.
