Development of online student enrollment/admission portal

As part of a multi-phased project, for the initial step bidder needs to create a straight-forward portal that caters to needs of students applying for admission at an education provider. Institution is using a student administration solution based on Microsoft CRM 4 (shortly to be upgraded to CRM 2011 in conjunction with Sharepoint as document repository); upon completion of the admission cycle, applicant needs to be available as a contact entity (including all documents provided) within CRM. Proven skills in: ASP.NET 4, VB.NET, SQL 2008, Microsoft CRM 4/2011 with references to completed projects in the mentioned fields. Core features: - Create portal account using valid email-address - Upon email confirmation, access shall be granted - Intuitive design and navigation, implementing institution CI - Collect all relevant personal information - Include upload section for documents (transcripts, etc.) - Include application for financial aid section - Light-weight, form-based data entry, supported by contextual help and checks for various constraints and dependencies - Include online-payment option for application fee (Paypal and external Credit Card-gateway) - Application can only be submitted upon completion of all steps - Wizard-like step-by-step guidance - CRM integration via webservice, clean implementation of CRM SDK - Information to be available within portal (e.g. courses) to be retrieved from CRM; no portal admin tool needed - More detailed process/feature diagram available, to be provided upon project award Future project phases shall include bi-directional communication/data exchange with CRM, including the creation of a self-service point for e.g. transcript downloads, etc. Bidder shall receive access to a CRM test/dev environment, full source code will be handed over to project sponsor. Project documentation: Core functionality, data model, business logic needs to provided in written form (Diagrams/bullet points sufficient), subsequent class/function details inline with code Milestones: 1 - working prototype without CRM integration 2 - CRM integration to dev-system working 3 - Production release Immediate start expected. Delivery by end of February.
