The website shall also cater for readers wishing to read news with a Nigerian slant CMS - the website shall be fully content managed without the need of a maintenance contract RESPONSIVE - the website shall be browser based and designed to adapt to all media devices including smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktops DESIGN - the design needs to follow a traditional clean online news website such as the BBC, CNN etc POLITICS - the political flavour of the news shall be independent and impartial and be as close to the ideals of the BBC as possible OPINIONATED ARTICLES - the website shall promote featured opinionated articles NEWS SOURCES - news articles shall be sourced from the following: Syndicated articles from agencies such as Reuters Own paid or contracted staff Freelance submissions CATEGORIES - news articles shall cover numerous categories such as local news, world news, business, sport, science, technology, entertainment, health, beauty etc. CONTENT - news content shall be promoted using a range of multimedia elements such as: Structured text Images Videos Audio files Related photo gallery Related video gallery Related links Related downloads PRESENTATION - news pages shall be presented in an eye catching and interesting manner by ensuring the content is broken up using embedded quotes, images and videos with captions. Such techniques are utilised by the BBC news website among others TRENDING - news articles which are trending by page views or comments shall be listed on the website home page SOCIAL - the website shall make it easy for readers to follow the website's social media pages and share on their social network COMMENTS - the website shall allow readers to submit comments for any news article and provide the ability to moderate comments before they go live ALERTS - the client's website shall allow readers to receive news alerts by email or RSS news feed of any news articles from their chosen topics POLLS - the client shall have the ability to set up online polls requesting readers to make a single selection from a choice of questions.
