UI/UX design for ParentDB

ParentDB is a site used at schools for collecting donations to the PTA, creating a directory of parents, and soon soon content creation (blog posts) and event sign up.  The main feature currently is to collect PTA dues with a credit card form, and users can see a directory of parents who have signed up, which class their children are in and their pictures. The new features of the site will include content creation and social features- the authoring of articles/posts by parents. And being able to see and sign up for volunteer events. This job is create a UI/UX view that is based on the current app, and make it look and feel really good. You need to understand the purpose of the app and bring some thought into:  - Why we are adding content creation? - How should viewing the content look? A facebook feed style, or blog post style?  - What is a design that would improve the current profile view and directory? You will design: - A redux of the current profile and class listing directory - A design that shows content stream (basically a blog or Facebook feed type of view) - A design for creating content (blog posts/fb type posts) - A design that allows you to sign up and view "events" There is written documents about each of these areas that can be provided or discussed in addition to this info. You can also use the current testing/qa site to get a feel for the real features. If you sign up with a test credit card: 4111 1111 1111 1111 and expiration 04/17 you will be a member.  The output will a simple design and improvement of the current features. How to get this job: - confirm you have taken a look at the site and the requirements and have some ideas of what would look good  - get in touch for questions, proposal - and/or send a screenshot of a rough draft of visual design iteration as your proposal Notes on the site: - Implemented in Ruby on Rails, Twitter bootstrap front end.
