Hi I'm an Access database developer with over 20 years experience. Yes I can confirm I read your project details, no automation here :-) My VBA is excellent. I can easily lock down controls, resize the forms, etc. How about I place the locking routine around a table that stores the control names. That way you can add, remove or toggle between locked and unlocked for new and existing controls. I should also add that I have code that can measure the screen resolution that is set for each pc, so if your forms size adjustments are due to various screen sizes, I have code that can handle this too. Timer is also no problem but I would look at this more closely to see if there's a better solution. Timed events are prone to issues and there may be a better way. Thanks Darren
