The World Bank's Logistics Performance Index is one of the key benchmarks of the infrastructure and logistics capabilities on country-by-country and region-by-region basis (please see the link) [login to view URL] • The purpose of this assignment is to acquaint students with how to research the logistics capabilities and logistics performance of different countries and regions around the world. The International Logistics Performance Index and the Domestic Logistics Performance Index developed and reported on annually is a key information source for global logistics professionals. The differences between countries in their logistics capabilities needs to be included into strategic planning for distribution, supply chain management, and procurement. Requirements: 1. Please select two different countries that are separated by the Atlantic or Pacific oceans. Compare these two countries on their International Logistics [login to view URL] discuss the differences between these countries on the overall LPI and each of the 6 dimensions of the LPI. This can be done interactively or by reading the 2016 Report. Clear interpretation of the meaning of the differences requires reading Sections 1 and 2 of the 2016 LPI Report.
