Objectives This assessment item relates to the course learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3. Task You are required to propose a concept solution for an identified problem/opportunity. This proposal forms the basis of a submission into programs, grants or business funding applications that focus on innovative outcomes and will form part of the documentation to be prepared for Assignment 3. Essentially, students are working towards developing the business plan that will be completed in assignment 3. As a minimum, the proposal must:  fully define the given problem/issue including under what broad type of innovation (as identified in this course) the problem/issue would be classified; i.e. strategic; research and development (R&D); non R&D  explain why the problem/issue should be resolved; i.e. what benefits are expected to be gained  propose an innovative and creative the solution(s); that is, it must not already exist  provide a justification for the proposed solution  provide an anticipated timeline for implementation (from beginning of the project until first release)  identify anticipated resource requirements. It would be helpful to review requirements for funding applications for innovative and creative ideas.
