I want to have the same dev, test and prod environments. Freelancer developers working on their own laptops in their local dev enviroment. Test and prod environments running on AWS. Letting only code that passes actual tests on the developers laptop to be commited to version control system. Permit only code that passed all tests in the test environment to be deployed to prod environment. Subversion or Git - did not decide yet. If you have a better solution for the infrastructure, I'm open to discussion.

We are working on SVN since more than 5 years. Our process is 1. Developer take code from SVN repository and develop on his pc 2. after completion of development they commit changes on server 3. Then our testing team come into picture and start testing on test environment 4. After completion of testing all pages which are on testing server transferred to production environment through our inhouse develop utility 5. It will require 3 to 4 weeks time to configure, deployment and training
