Import of articles from custom CMS site to Wordpress site including images and make a small plug-in.

CALLING ALL WORDPRESS PROS! We need to import 2080 articles from existing custom CMS website (PHP, Yii, MySQL) - which has MySQL Database to a new Wordpress installation.. I can easily import this myself by using a CSV importer - but this need a bit more expertise and the associated news item images need to be imported to the WP library too as featured images for the articles. Items to be imported into new WP site and tagged to the correct database fields are: > TITLE - Post Title > DATE - Post Date > DETAILS Post Details > POST TYPE - Public (live) > SEO POST SLUG - SEO title - The SEO links need to be honoured - e.g.: [login to view URL] So that the indexing on Google still finds these articles. When we switch to the new site we do not want any articles with 404 error. > POST VIEW (number of views of article) Need to import post data into database from old website into the tables for this plug-in. So import to the associated field in the DB for that article ID. [login to view URL] > IMAGES - The image from the old site need to be imported and placed in the right folders in the content uploads. So images need to be copied across and posted to the relevant news posts. > FEAT IMAGE - First image to be imported as main featured image - No1. Feat Image. > OTHER IMAGES - If the article has more that one image - then the other images must bimported as other featured images. Eg Featured image 2, Featured image 3 etc > CAPTIONS: Import of captions for all images. > AUTHORS - Author will be set to default author - admin can add other authors and tag them to other authors later on. So this is easy - Tag to one author - we can create new authors and tag accordingly later. > TAGS - Import existing database of tags and tag articles > DISTRIBUTOR BLOCK (SIMPLE WORDPRESS PLUG-IN) - This needs to be a custom item that will allow author to link post to existing company. See screens to explain how it works. Most probably need a custom plug-in made for this? It simply display and information block within the post. So can be something added to the toolbar and added to content? or part of the posts page. We have the existing and working PHP code for this - just need to be integrated into Wordpress as a plug-in.
