Developer needed for Custom Site (PHP/CodeIgniter)

I am looking for a developer to complete a custom website for us. Our site ([login to view URL]) is meant to educate people about FHA mortgages. We collect customer data for individuals looking for a mortgage and sell the info to a company through the "Get Started" pages on our site (this is our only 3rd party integration). We also have a credit monitoring product that we market to customers via banner ads. By way of background, we hired a company to build a custom site for us that they were unable to complete. They talked us into switching to a Wordpress template, which is now outdated and needs to be completely revamped. In retrospect, it was a huge mistake going down that path, and we're thinking about hiring someone to finish the custom site (depending on cost). The custom site was probably about 1/3 of the way done when they stopped working on it (see [login to view URL]). Our concept was revamped a bit as we went through the development process, so certain elements from the functional document that was prepared for the custom site are no longer applicable (like the home listings integration). We have also developed a couple of other tools on the live Wordpress site, such as the home affordability calculator ([login to view URL]) and FHA loan limits tool ([login to view URL]) that are not reflected in the functional document for the custom site. We wanted to add a Rent vs. Buy calculator to the site as well, though the current developers haven't been able to handle the request. I can provide you with the Excel file I prepared to drive the rent vs. buy calculator if needed, though I expect this is something we could add to the custom site as the next phase. At this point, we are trying to decide when we should go about finishing the custom site given some of the issues we're having with mobile optimization for the current Wordpress site. We know there are a lot of bugs with our current site and we're stuck trying to determine whether to spend the money to address the bugs and at least make it functional, or just switch over to the custom site sooner than initially expected. That decision all comes down to the cost to finish the custom site. We are looking for someone to take over where the last developer left off and need someone who can develop both the front and back end of the site.
