I have a PHP loop that takes too long to update my database. The code works as it is but times out, even when settting like 20 minutes timeout in [login to view URL] I am asking for a resulting python (maybe?) script that would do the same update routine on a MySQL local database, from the console, taking as long as it needs, giving progress feedback. The source is a CSV document. The original code is poorly structured and may need optimization. Originally done in PHP / Laravel 5. I will provide a sample (shorter CSV input file), the actual code (200 line + 1 or two conversion functions) and the main database, in a shorter form. You will provide open local code that will work on a generic local mysql database.
