Hi, As you know that WP is the CMS which is very vulnerable to attacks and easiest to be hacked. Thus, my first recommendation would be to change the CMS and go for frameworks from scratch. If that is not possible then the next options are protecting and optimizing DB, Server, allowing HTTPS IP only, SSL ( as you already said) etc.. we are ready to put our best. Of concern is the unknown version of the Wordpress site you are employing, sometimes many of the issues you experience have already been fixed in subsequent releases of Wordpress, but, upgrading the code can/does break some of the content, and depending how things were coded, it can be a real challenge to get to the bottom of what someone else did.
