Recruitment & community website for testing industry (WordPress)

1 Introduction A web portal dedicated to the software testing and quality industry. The web site will be multi-purposed and will bring together service providers (freelancers, consulting companies), customers, employers, tool vendors and resources for test professionals. 2 Business model The backbone of the portal will be a recruitment module. This module will be the main front page and provide all the functionalities of a normal recruitment portal for jobs seekers and employers. The system will have a powerful CV management system, where candidates will be accurately measured by skills and experience. It will support freelance, contract and permanent job opportunities. Employers will be able to post jobs paying fees as defined by the administrator. Another module is the service provider section that is designed for freelancers and consulting companies. These entities will register and pay subscription so that they will be listed in the directory. Companies will able to promote their services, for example they can buy extra functionalities so that they are highlighted to be displayed at the top of lists. The tools section will target for vendors of testing related software products. Again vendors will be able promote their products; there will be categorisation of these tools for easy navigation. Open source products will be listed free of charge. The resources section will be similar [login to view URL], where users can find different materials of interest. Some resources will be free, others will be premium. Vendors can upload or link to their materials; there may be a need to charge vendors per view or click or just flat subscription. The Events and certifications sections are light weight section intended to display upcoming testing related events as well as training opportunities. This information will be maintained by the back office user. The system will integrate with payment systems as well as account system. Import or export of job adverts from other systems via XML or API will be supported. A comprehensive backoffice will be required to manage the whole system, including pricing, promotions and discounts. Finally, the system will support third party general and targeted adverts. 3 Technology & development This portal will be built on existing technology like Wordpress or Joomla.
