Build a Intranet Website for all employees of the company, main functions will be : - ACL control, every page will have to be controled, access defined by group of users and specific users - Use of JomSocial extension with user's personal picture upload - Document area for Word, Excel, PPT, PDF, Txt documents - eLearning area with "non-defined yet" tool for eLearning (hopefully a Joomla extension) - Training documents and guides - General broadcast messages OR informational banners targeted to specific users/groups - Agenda for users groups/specifc users - General help guides, procedures and policies of the company - General employees contact information, Area with general extension number list of all employees - Tasks per user groups and specific users, with flags of priority and notification email - Birthday control, with list of Birthday's of the day, with automatic emails to employees - Employee benefit control : identify a Joomla extension that can help with benefit amount control for elegible employees (employees will have an annual amount to spend and will have to enter personnal documents, then request approval for amount use of the benefit - Ability to add Joomla extensions for further needs if necessary - Provide backup procedures for the whole site, data and configurations

JomSocial is definitely a good choice, much better than its competitor in the Joomla world, i.e Community Builder.
