Social game application on Joomla! with JomSocial

Project presentation -------------------------------------------------- The objective of the project is to integrate a social poker application into a joomla! CMS and a JomSocial plug-in. The poker application will be hosted and managed by an external software provider. The registration process will require calls to several APIs of the application, in order to register new accounts using cURL (php). The visual aspect and all design work will be provided, and W3C norms will have to be respected in the coding. The production server will also be provided. Developers will have to provide documentation on any additional module that would be developed. Development -------------------------------------------------- Joomla CMS ------------------------- The website will use Joomla ! and the development will have to respect the codification standards associated to the CMS. External module development may be required for new functionality implementations. Website template ------------------------- The template design has already been created using a grid system based on [login to view URL] and will have to be adapted to W3C standards and HTML5. The website template will have to adapt to all registration steps : * non registered user * registered user * Article section Existing content ------------------------- The website will contain provided content. Existing urls will have to be maintained in order to avoid indexation issues. Campaign management ------------------------- The website will have to integrate OpenX Adserving for campaign management. Ad sizes and invocation codes will be provided by us. Jomsocial -------------------------------------------------- The joomla cms will include the jomsocial plug-in and will use all the associated functionalities. The jomsocial plug in will be provided along with the licence. Template ------------------------- Development will include a specifically designed template for Jomsocial. Development will have to respect W3C norms and specifications and be developed in html5. API communication ------------------------- The website will integrate permanent communication with the application server for multiple tasks : *User registration and login *User progression within the game Double api integration ------------------------- The website being an evolution of an existing platform, the login action will require communication with 2 separate APIs. On login and on registration, both APIs and both databases will be called upon in order to determine if a user is new or not. If the user is already registered on the old platform, his account details will be copied to the new database. Facebook connect ------------------------- The website will allow registration with the facebook connect API. The base Jomsocial module may have to be modified to ensure communication with the game server API. Game application -------------------------------------------------- The poker game itself will be a flash application hosted on an external server and will be integrated with specific technical specifications required by the game server’s API. Payment methods part ------------------------- The poker application will link to a page displaying a list of products (additional chips) users will be able to buy as part of the game. Once an item will have been purchased, a news item will appear on the user’s wall indicating the purchase. Game server ------------------------- The game server will be external and all communication will use it’s API. Project schedule -------------------------------------------------- The development team will have to provide a clear roadmap and provide reports after each milestone. We will require access to the test sever in order to monitor progression Licensing and delivery specifics -------------------------------------------------- The website development will be entirely transferred at the end of the project, and it will be totally lice and copyright free.
