[login to view URL] I'm VERY interested in finding out what is involved in developing an application similar to the one in the link above. Things I need to know: 1. What language would you as the developer prefer to write this in? This is something that I want to deploy "from" my website for my website members. This is NOT an application that I want users to install on their computers. So obviously flash/shockwave are of interest to me, but I'm not sure of the feasibility of using something like flash/shockwave for this. 2. I can develop all of the actual course materials (meaning text, and instructions) for this. What else will you need from me? 3. I can record avi/mpegs of the tasks that I need performs. Click here, then click here, then click here type of stuff - that's easy, but when the user needs to perform the task how realistic will it look? What are the things I need to consider for added realism? 4. Once this type of application is created, how difficult will it be to add/remove content and modify it? This is important to me, and what are things that I need to consider to have this functionality? 5. Tracking user progression is EXTREMELY important to me. Since website members will be using this, they must be tracked via PHP/MySQL. What are things that I will need to consider in order to successfully inplement user tracking?
