Online Personal Resume Portfolio

This project involves the building of a personal resume portfolio online that prospective job seekers can use to acquire jobs and prospective job hunters/HR departments can use to select and hire new employees. This database application system allows an employee to build their own personal resume/portfolio online with template and color choices and makes it available to employers looking for specific skills and experience - but with one twist. The personal page comes with photos of themselves and a bio that looks like a personal web page, complete with a flash capable navigation bar that allows the writing to move toward the reader (not link to anther page). Example: An employee builds a personal web page through the application and submits it into the database. An employer is looking for someone with a specific background in the media industry could scroll down the list and see that there are 300 people with those qualifications. He/She could then type in one keyword such as SPORTS and cut that list down to 10 people. Everything must be subscription based because of privacy. ## Deliverables The database website should be fully-functional, complete with a front page (I'll submit the wording once you show me a basic template), a scroll-don menu, and search bar. It should also have templates to choose from (basic - maybe 3-5) along with a color pallete which allows the user to change portfolio colors, and text boxes for each title and text Ex: Career Objective, Work History, References, etc. and a browse button that allows a personal picture to be downloaded It should also have a page for searcing that employers could use to search for specific keywords and the number of perspective employees that match the specific keyword typed in (like monster dot com). As many possibe industries and keyword would make for serches more specific and thus more streamlined. Once the keyword is typed in and the number of matches show up, the employer can then view all of the online portfolios that match the criteria. He/she could then click on the name and the portfolio would show up. A subscription page (along with paypal or some other specific method of online payment) where employees could buy a monthly/yearly subscription to the site. This page must include name, address, telephone number (optional), email address, city, state, zip code, which all goes into the administrative database from which free email alerts and postal mail information could be sent to the subscriber. **The same must go for employers** (the only difference would be the business name, address, phone number, etc.) The portfolio page must allow employees to enter their information for viewing access ONLY to employers who have a subscription. This particularly includes pictures, addresses, and phone numbers. The subscription page must allow all subscribers to establish their own login ID and personal pin to use when logging on to the website. A login page so that subscribers could login to make any changes to their portfolio. This page includes the subscriber to use their pre-established personal ID and pin (7 max characters) to log on.
